Thus, after the launch of Baofeng DM-5R (designed for Radioddity), the first walkie-talkie dual band VHF-UHF analogue and digital mode in Tier 1, Baofeng is about to launch a new DMR handheld based on a UV-82 dual band.
This new DMR walkie-talkie will be Tier 2, ie compatible with Motorala devices, Hytera and TYT, and for traffic DMR on amateur band. No need to make a (complex) update to Tier 2 at an extra cost of $10.
The release of the new DMR Baofeng UV-82 type, is planned for the end of 2016 and will be available during 2017 for the European market.
The price is not yet known precisely but will be low below 100€ in Europe.
